Tried and True!!! My grandfather made these all the time! We would have them as dinner bread, or use them for strawberry shortcakes. This recipe is copied word for word from his original recipe card.

6 cups flour
8 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
¾ cup shortening
2 cups milk
2 eggs
Mix dry ingredients and shortening with pastry blender. Add eggs and milk. Turn out on floured board and pat out. Cut into separate biscuits. Bake at 425°F for about 12 minutes. Makes about 20 biscuits.
